In Battle Through the Heavens, Heavenly Flames are considered one of the most powerful forces, rare treasures created by the world itself. Even elite warriors like the Dou Zong wouldn’t dare mess with them easily. Just obtaining one is considered a blessing, but Xiao Yan, our protagonist, was able to devour eight of these flames, each boosting his power. Let’s dive into how he got his hands on these flames and the unique abilities they gave him.

1. Green Lotus Core Flame (Ranked 19th)

This flame comes from deep underground, formed over centuries from molten rock and capable of triggering volcanic eruptions. When Xiao Yan was still a Dou Zhe, he trained with the Flame Mantra technique. After refining the Amethyst Winged Lion King’s purple flame, Xiao Yan became eager to chase a real Heavenly Flame.

Yao Lao, his mentor, knew there was a Green Lotus Core Flame in the Tagor Desert, but they arrived too late—Queen Medusa had already taken it. After a fierce fight between her and Xiao Yan, the weakened flame was up for grabs. Xiao Yan, after many close calls, finally claimed it, using treasures like the Blood Lotus Pill to subdue it. This flame boosted Xiao Yan’s strength to the four-star Dou Shi level.

2. Fallen Heart Flame (Ranked 14th)

This flame is born from the toxic fumes in magma and is known for its unique abilities to strengthen the body, control flames, and suppress souls. After being hunted by Yun Shan, Xiao Yan entered Jia Nan Academy to improve his strength quickly, knowing there was a Fallen Heart Flame in the academy’s inner courtyard.

However, when Xiao Yan finally got close, the flame erupted violently, and other enemies joined the fight. Trapped beneath the academy’s Sky-Burning Qi Tower for two years, Xiao Yan endured the flame’s torment and eventually refined it, pushing him to the Dou Wang level and further evolving his Flame Mantra.

3. Three Thousand Burning Flame (Ranked 9th)

This purple-black flame was born from the power of stars and grants its host immortality. After defeating Yun Shan, Xiao Yan faced many dangers, including being poisoned. He had to reach Dou Zong within two years to survive, and in his search for more flames, he learned about the Three Thousand Burning Flame.

The flame was sealed in the stars above the Pill Tower, and only the top ten competitors of the Pill Gathering could attempt to claim it. After winning the Pill Gathering, Xiao Yan refined the flame with the help of a dragon seal, boosting his strength to the nine-star Dou Zong level.

4. Bone Chilling Flame (Ranked 11th)

This flame, born from ice and snow, can freeze entire regions. It originally belonged to Yao Lao, who had a deep attachment to it. Despite this, Yao Lao erased the flame’s spirit and gifted it to Xiao Yan to aid in his growth. Xiao Yan, now a two-star Dou Zun, quickly refined it and pushed his Flame Mantra to near-heavenly levels.

5. Sea Heart Flame (Ranked 15th)

This water-based flame once belonged to Han Feng, who later passed it to Elder Mu Gu. Mu Gu often tried to sabotage Xiao Yan, even nearly killing him before the Pill Gathering. When they met again, Xiao Yan, now a Dou Sheng, easily defeated him and swallowed the flame, though it didn’t increase his strength.

6. Purifying Lotus Demon Flame (Ranked 3rd)

Known for its ability to purify everything, this flame is so powerful it can take human form. When Xiao Yan tried to refine it, he nearly died alongside many other Dou Shengs. Only after erasing its consciousness with the help of the Purifying Lotus Saint’s spirit and dual cultivation with Xun’er did he succeed, advancing to mid-five-star Dou Sheng.

7. Emperor Flame

This primordial fire commands all flames and was too powerful for Xiao Yan’s body to handle at first. After billions of disintegrations and reconstructions within the flame, Xiao Yan refined it, advancing from seven-star Dou Sheng to Dou Di.

8. Devouring Void Flame (Ranked 2nd)

This flame can devour anything, including space itself. After being heavily injured a thousand years ago, it was saved by the Soul Clan and became one of their ancestors. Eventually, Xiao Yan summoned the flame, and it submitted to him. Unlike other flames, Xiao Yan chose not to return it, as it had committed grave sins.

The flame’s unique ability to acquire the traits of what it devours may be passed on to Xiao Yan after he refines it.
